The Dock Cafe is my favorite eating place in Stillwater Minnesota. It is right on the river and has good food and drinks. It is right on the river and the view is gorgeous. You can eat outside on the Plaza or inside with big spacious windows. Right next door is a dock with two or three big Paddle Wheel boats giving trips Up and Down the River and is owned by my cousin. The Dog Cafe and the Paddle Wheel boats are terrific.

This is one of my favorite places to go for special occasions. The food is always amazing. The servers are always awesome. Thanks for being great!

Very fun! Good music, polite staff and yummy food. Expensive compared to the middle of nowhere "the country", but cheap compared to the twin cities.

The food is amazing. Had the shrimp cocktail along with salmon sandwich. Boyfriend had the steak with chive mash potatoes. All was amazing. The staff was super friendly.

Hands down, the best dining spot to enjoy river views. There seems to be a perpetual wait to sit on the patio, so be ready to get there early (they don't take reservations). Tip: get a drink from the outdoor bar, and find the patio on the other side the bar where you can comfortably wait and still enjoy the amazing view.

We came to this restaurant for a meeting. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

Went at 11 on a weekday and Greta timing to snag a seat by the river- filled up by 11:45! Attentive servers, especially the gentleman refilling the waters. Food was excellent, different take on spinach & artichoke dip was a great starter & scallop salad was refreshing with perfectly cooked scallops. My husband had the walleye sandwich and the fish was also expertly cooked- not the thick fried fish you get elsewhere. Beautiful setting!

Fantastic study spot. Also check out Taylor's falls coffee shop on main Street. And red wing has a nice place, can't recall the name. Otherwise, diamonds in Minneapolis is excellent focus zone.

I do not frequent this establishment often.This occasion was with a small group of coworkers and spouses. We sat by the fireplace. A first for me. We recieved stellar service and the food (delivered tardily do to a very large party, the only knock, but understandable and informed of)was yummy.I will return because I continue to enjoy my vists.

I frequent this special place once a month since I like the good mood that is characterizes this place. The crew is exceptionally helpful and well trained. The service is deeply quick. Not to mention, the food they cook is outstanding. I came many times and I was never disappointed. The expense is decent. I recommend this place to to all.

We love this restaurant! My husband and I had a wonderful dinner in the bar area overlooking the river. Great service and fantastic food! Looking forward to sitting outside this summer.

We were there for an hour and ten minutes before our food was served. The burger was decent. There is a beautiful view sitting on the patio.

I helped open the Dock back in the’80’s. It was really good back then and nothing has changed, still great food and atmosphere.Plus you can’t beat the river views! The patio is beautiful!

I meet friends in this nice place from time to time! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot at least once a month. The food is excellent, the staff is polite and the prices are affordable. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a rich supper.

Best place in town to grab a good bite with a great view. I love that it's a bit quieter as well.

The best part of this place is the setting! Look out over the paddle boats and both St. Croix bridges from their amazing outdoor seating. In winter, cozy up by the fire while enjoying panoramic river views. Their food is regularly on point, with inventive but comfortable flavor combinations well worth the cost. Service is friendly without being intrusive. For the best experience, stop by for lunch or on a week day. Evenings and weekends can have frustratingly long waits.

Delicious!! My wife and I went to Dock Cafe to celebrate Christmas with a late lunch. It was my first trip and it was great! To start we both had a drink. My wife had white wine and I had a Manhattan. My Manhattan was nice without being super sweet. They use a pretty mild whiskey that doesn’t have a big bite. The chicken wild rice soup was pretty average which is still really good. My blackened walleye sandwich was the perfect combination of elements. The walleye was tender and you could still taste the fish even with the blackening spice. The tartar sauce was really good too. Where do I get a vat of that? My wife’s salmon sandwich was anything but boring. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a large portion. The glaze wasn’t sweet, which is always a fear of mine, and it added a nice flavor. Great place to have lunch. We will be back this summer!

Amazing view. Excelent food

Went here before heading to the Ice Castles. Tasty food, great atmosphere, and a lovely building with great views (even on a winter night!) Though we went on a busy Saturday evening, with no reservations, we were seated quickly (though this might have been luck, so you may want tho call ahead). Nancy was friendly and attentive! Thanks for a great experience.

Beautiful location for a restaurant! We loved watching the water during dinner. The food was tasty and the server was friendly. They worked well with my gluten/dairy free diet also.

Great view, decent food and drinks. Meat and cheese plate was good. Everyone liked the catfish (I'm not a big fan). Can't beat the view.

It’s always fun to visit the Dock Cafe in Stillwater in the summer. Sit on the river side patio and watch the river traffic while you enjoy a drink, food, and good service. I especially love their salmon and walleye options.

As close to the river as a patio can get, nice waiting area by the river as well. Barbara was the friendliest best server you could ask for! Food is $$, but youre paying for the location.

Awesome view overlooking the St Croix river! Substantial patio/deck for dining outside. American food. Great desserts, some from local businesses. Windows all around indoor dining rooms. Good food. Service was slow and the server wasn't very attentive. The view made up for it, though. Small but free parking lot for diners. Or park in lot across the street for a small fee. Close to the Stillwater Trolley Co. if you'd like a nice 45-minute tour of the immediate Stillwater area.

Food and service was good. While this restaurant feels more adult-oriented only, it also has a kids menu.The views of the river are superb, and there's a nice outside deck where you can also dine that overlooks the river.

Food was delicious, the cheese plate was perfect for sharing, view of the river could not be better.

Great food & service! What a beautiful gem on the St. Croix river. We love coming to this restaurant for our anniversary. But even if you aren't celebrating anything, it's a good place to come for an excellent meal. I had the risotto w/ salmon, hubby had a shrimp Caesar salad.

Outdoor seating was relaxing!Amazing food, Bloody Marys are sweet and spicy! Walleye Sandwich was amazing! Pasta is excellent. Highly recommend! Server Bill was amazing.

Best view of the river for dining! You might even catch a glimpse of the Gondola Romantica out on the St. Croix River.

Really great spot for sitting outside on the patio by the river. We stopped by for an afternoon glass of wine and a cheese plate, which was delicious. However, the service was really poor. The waitress was unable to give any menu recommendations, and when the food was delivered, didn’t take the time to explain what was on the cheese plate, leaving us to guess for ourselves.

I had excellent food, my co workers was horrendous she said. Atmosphere was fine though inside could use a major facelift. Poor amount of free parking though super friendly staff.

Waited for 45 min for a waitress and spoke with manager since waitress was training new recruit and that just did not seem right to treat customers that way. Had to flag her down 3 more time for refills and other issues. Food good service needs improvement big time. I would not waste my time here again. Because it has a great view too bad really.

I must say it's one of the greatest cafes! It has the best view and the most cozy atmosphere! The food is amazing and their drinks are perfect!

I celebrated my nomination today in this gorgeous place. Well we enjoyed a enjoyable evening and the place was undoubtedly the reason for this strong event. The stuff helped in a graceful manner, the cuisine was great and my buddies were extremely thrilled. We shall absolutely visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

It feels like eating in a hotel cafeteria or something. However, the food was much better than I expected. I got the turkey burger. The meat patty was nice and juicy and had some good grill lines on it. I thought the sweet potato fries were tasty. They weren't overly crispy or dry. The outside patio has a nice view of the river. The indoor seating was comfortable and cushiony. The staff were really friendly.

I loved the food here, I'm usually am very into Italian food and this is one of the best places to eat around. The service is fast and the quality of tumour experience will be fantastic.

The best part about this restaurant is the location and the view. The waitstaff/hostesses could use some improvement. When we asked to sit on the patio we were told there would be a 45 minute wait. I asked if we could grab a drink in the meantime. There wasn’t room at the bar so we stood for drinks. After observing the flow of guests into the patio we realized there was a separate patio to wait for a table with chairs etc, which would have been nice to know. Once seated our waitress was less than attentive. The menu was outdated, my asparagus was mushy, the flavors tasted tired and my steak was over cooked (wish I took a picture). As I said, the location is great, they just need to work on the restaurant part.

Hands down, best patio in town! The food is really well done, will be back!

I just loved their dishes. I always get great customer service here. The place is always clean and the cashiers are always very nice. Will come back again.
